Life Story

Martin Pappert was likely the oldest of three children born to Josepha Scheling and Polycarp Pappert. He was born sometime between 1855 and 1860. He had two siblings, a sister Kathinka, and a brother Valentin. No birth, marriage or death records could be found for Martin and little is known of him or of any descendants. A picture of two young children taken in Fulda is likely to be of Martin and Kathinka, and a portrait of a young man, also taken in Fulda, shows a resemblance to his father.
